When giving a present most people tend to add a card, often very personal to the person. Others may send a card to tell the person you’re thinking of them. At times it can be very difficult to get a card that suits the circumstances for card sending, the persons personality and likes. So in turn it is often very handy to make one yourself. Some people may find this very overwhelming, when there is no need.
From your local craft/stationary store you can purchase a pack of blank/plain cards (often the envelopes are included), often coming in a multi pack ranging from €5 upwards. Then all you need is pens and pencils, you can draw or write whatever you like, or whatever suits the person who the card is intended for.
Often its nice to add some more details using things such as:
- Felt designs/lettering
With adding these details again you are making such a personal card, as you add what the person likes. The end results are beautiful and the person receiving the card will often be touched that you made the card yourself.
Please feel free to comment below on any cards you’ve made or received that have been handmade by a loved one, or maybe ones you’ve made yourself. I’d love to hear from you with new ideas for cards also so feel free.
