My Urban Decay obsession grows stronger by the day, & when I saw this limited-edition palette I had to have it. This Palette has 20 shades, encased in a stunning case with a huge mirror & a double ended brush. The shades cover their entire 20 year history.
The case is made with matte black plastic with a large purple ‘UD’ gem. It opens by pushing a purple push button that reveal the inside. The palette has a range of 20 shades, in a wide range of finishes – mattes, metallics, sheen & shimmers. As with each shade from Urban Decay they are all extremely blendable, rich and velvety feeling because of their amazing ‘Pigment Infusion System’ that Urban Decay is known for. The double ended brush is ideal for creating any signature look having both a shadow and crease brush, while the large mirror enclosed in the case makes creating this looks easy.
The shades include: (Left to Right, Top to Bottom)
Suspend, Oil Slick, Roadstripe, Gash, Midnight Cowboy, 501, Shallow, Laced, Hot Pants, Mildew, Smog, Misdemeanor, Freakshow, Asphyxia, Acid Rain, Moonflower, Uv-B, Goldmine, Twice Baked & Anonymous.
My Favourite shades to date include: Gash, Laced, Freakshow, Acid Rain, Goldmine & Twice Baked.
The Palette was priced at roughly €46/£43/$56. I purchase mine from The Loop, in Dublin Airport while travelling & unsure are there many places that still have it available to purchase. My pros include – I say it every time but the brush is very handy and having the huge mirror is always a bonus. The 20 shades makes it ideal to bring when on the go as it allows you to create so many looks. As always each shade is highly pigmented. I love that there are some vintage, as well as new shades available in this palette. Cons include – I always struggle to find any but if I’m to be picky it would be that with certain colours it’s essential to use primer for the eyeshadow to sit in place & last.
In my opinion this Palette is ideal for any person looking for a multi functional palette, it has such a wide range of colours it makes endless looks possible. Having shades from the entire UD history makes this palette super exciting.
