Makeup: Urban Decay, ‘Shadow Box’ Palette

I really am Urban Decay obsessed, this I will never deny so today I’ve decided to chat about the ‘Shadow Box’ palette. This palette is filled with 12 shades, 3 never before seen. The shades including Matte as well as Shimmer finishes.  This palette was inspired by the ‘Ammo’ Palette, but having it completely updated and bigger in size it makes it now the perfect ‘all-in-one’ palette for anyone to reach for. The outer packaging had a large raised ‘UD’ metal logo, a stunning violet and black watercolour effect. Inside the lid there is a large sized mirror, while the 12 shades are arranged in two rows of six, with the background a monochrome watercolour design.

The shades include: (Left to Right, Top to Bottom) – Sin, Indo, Bordello, Tornado, Smog, Blackout, Flash, Mushroom, Lost, Freelove, Moonshadow and Baked Cowboy.  My favourite shades include: Indo, Tornado, Blackout and Flash and Mushroom.

As far as I’m aware it’s no longer available, I purchased mine from Debenhams. My pros include – having 12 colours in one small handy palette makes it ideal for travelling. The range of colours allows for the creation of many looks, neutral as well as a splash of colour. Cons include – not having a brush included is a rare one for Urban Decay, but at the same time its not difficult to bring your own brushes I guess.

In my opinion this Palette was ideal for any person who is looking for a versatile palette but not wanting to spend a fortune, having the range of colours enables you to create a neutral eye as well as a signature smoky look. It’s almost as though one palette can do it all, although in the world of a palette junkie this is never true!

Feel free to leave a comment or link me your posts, I love hearing from you. Maybe you’ve used the palette? Or one similar?

As always, Thanks for reading! Until next time!
